In an effort to keep our directory as current as possible, we are implementing a new policy for all commercial listings. We have found that in some instances, directory listings have been added, and at some point thereafter, changes within the company occur that affect the accuracy and/or relevancy of the Critterplaces listing. This may be a change of name, phone number, or even a cessation of services, which is not then passed along to us here at Critterplaces, making the corresponding directory listing erroneous.

In order to keep our information up to date, we will require an update of every listing at least once per year. All listings have been assigned an expiration date based on either the original submission date, or the most recent update. Reminders will be sent out when it is time to renew a listing, and if no response is received, or our messages are bounced, we will assume that the listing is no longer valid and it will be removed.

If you have not received a renewal notice in 2007, you will need to complete the following:

To update your information and create an account in the new system, please visit the directory addition page at http://critterplaces.com/directory/addition.html, even if you already have a current listing. It is important that every step of the submission process is completed. This is necessary to activate your listing in the new account system. If this is an inconvenience, we do apologize, but we feel that this policy will only benefit our customers in the long run. Keeping the directory completely current will increase its value to our users, which will translate to more business for those listed on these pages.

Please note that the “Free” text listings no longer exist. Our new annual fee for a text listing is minimal ($10.00 for one year of service), and only serves to ensure that all listings submitted are valid. In the past, we have spent a great deal of time weeding out “spam” submissions. This, and the new annual expiration policy has put an effective halt to erroneous advertisements, which again increases the value of the directory and the benefit it can offer to those listed herein.
